What You Can Do To Advocate For
Strong Environmental Policies In Virginia
"It shall be the Commonwealth's policy to protect its atmosphere, lands, and waters from pollution, impairment, or destruction, for the benefit, enjoyment, and general welfare of the people of the Commonwealth." --The Constitution of Virginia
Our elected officials have a legal responsibility to care for the land and the welfare of its citizens. We all have a moral responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves. The most vulnerable part of our population, the unborn, are at highest risk for damage from mercury.
Contact your local state representative and tell him or her "HANDS OFF" the citizen board that is trying to improve Virginia's stance on mercury.
